The Green House Effect is generated by the heat retention of the solar energy that has passed the atmosphere and arrived to the Earth Surface.
Normally the energy (in forms of heat) returns to the space with an established rate that is function of the atmosphere composition. As lower the heat transfer from Earth to space as higher the heat retention that is accumulated in the lower part of the atmosphere.
The increase of the quantity of CO2 has reduced the amount of energy that returns to space hence the Earth surface is day by day accumulating energy: the temperatures of the Sea, Earth and air increases season after season.
PLENTY OF RESEARCHES (see agencies) HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT THE HEAT ACCUMULATED BY EARTH IS DUE TO THE DECREASE OF THE HEAT EXCHANGE WITH THE SPACE.
The "human kind" is at the origin of the increase of the amount of CO2 and other gases that reduce the "refresh" of the Bio-sphere.
The levels of CO2 monitored in the laboratories of Mauna Loa, a US island part of the archipelago of Hawaii, world reference to monitor the concentration of greenhouse gases, showed a peak of 421 ppm (parts per million) in 2022. During the In the pre-industrial period the CO2 was present at a rate of ∼ 290 ppm. Back to earth history paleoclimatologics found a similar concentration of 421 ppm CO2 in marine fossils 3 million years ago; at that time the ice at the poles was very low and the sea was tens of meters higher than the current level.
